SJJ Embedded Micro Solutions Releases the Embedded Development Kit Plus for the Microsoft® .NET Micro Framework

New kit supports a fully populated iPac-9302

San Diego, Calif., Jan 28, 2008 – SJJ Embedded Micro Solutions is pleased to announce the release of the Embedded Development Kit Plus (EDKplus) for the Microsoft® .NET Micro Framework. The EDKplus supports a fully populated iPac-9302, which includes the second serial port and battery backed real-time clock. The second serial port supports RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485. Like the original EDK, the kit contains a step-by-step instruction manual to guide engineers, hobbyists, and students through the process of developing .NET Micro Framework applications with managed code.

The .NET Micro Framework contains a TinyCLR that acts as a mini kernel to run managed code applications. Developers can write C# applications in Visual Studio and just download them to the development platform. Developers only need to focus on application development since the OS has already been ported.

The EDKplus consists of the following:

• A fully populated version of the EMAC’s iPac-9302 ARM9 development board with .NET Micro Framework installed
• Serial Cables for application download
• CD containing Step-By Step development Guide and sample applications
• Power supply
