RoboticsConnection.com to use EDKPlus in Robotics Kit

EDKPlus combines with Traxster Robot to make unique robotic solution

Embedded Systems Conference West - San Jose, Calif., April 14, 2008 – Summerour Robotics Corp (RoboticsConnection.com) has created the Traxster Micro Framework Robotics Kit to allow developers and educators learn, and leverage, the .NET Micro Framework. The kit includes SJJ Embedded Micro Solutions’ EDKPlus featuring the Microsoft® .NET Micro Framework. At the heart of the Traxster Robot is RoboticsConnection.com’s popular Serializer robot controller.  The EDKPlus communicates with the Serializer over a serial link to access a host of robotic I/O such as motors, sensors, encoders, servos, etc., thus freeing the EDKPlus I/O to be used for other application specific uses.

The Traxster MF Robotics Kit includes the Serializer MF Lib, and several example applications, all contained in a single Visual Studio solution.  With the .NET Micro Framework and the EDKPlus, developers just write C# applications to control the movement of the robot. Developers will need the .NET Micro Framework SDK and Visual Studio.
